Osamu Tezuka was a manga artist and creator of many of the earliest Japanese animation films and series. He is best known as the creator of the manga series Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, Black Jack, and Phoenix. He drew more than 150,000 pages of manga in his lifetime – touching on every style and genre.
