This year marks the 68th anniversary of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Their combined death toll initially reached around 200,000 before thousands more followed in the years ahead.

More recently, Japan experienced the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011 and is still dealing with its aftermath with no end in sight. As Albert Einstein famously said, "With the dawn of the nuclear age everything changed save our modes of thinking and thus we drift toward unparalleled catastrophe."

These prophetic words have never been more relevant than today when the legacy of the nuclear age remains with us in the form of weapons and facilities of mass destruction.

"Miso Power" is a unique book that addresses such a critical state of affairs. Just launched in Japan, the book tells us how Miso (fermented soybean paste) protects our body from radiation and cancer.

Here's the book description.
